Why do we collect personal data?
We collect, process and use personal data on this website in order to offer you our services and to give you the opportunity to use these services.

Automatic data collection
When you visit our website or one of its sub-pages, general data is automatically collected. However, this data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you as a person. The data collected includes information such as:

  • Which browser is used?
  • When was my website accessed?
  • Which sub-pages were called up?

etc.

We need this information in order to be able to optimally adapt the content of our pages to the users and to constantly improve the protection against possible hacker attacks.

Direct data collection
You have the option of contacting us directly via contact form, email or telephone if you have any questions or concerns. In doing so, it is up to you how much information you want to disclose to us. When you send us an e-mail, we automatically receive your email address. We need this in order to send you a reply. If a business relationship arises from the inquiry, the data will be stored according to the legal retention periods.

Will my data be passed on?
If, in the course of our processing, we disclose data to other persons and companies (order processors or third parties), transmit it to them or otherwise grant them access to the data, this will only be done on the basis of legal permission (e.g. if a transfer of data to third parties, such as to payment service providers, is necessary for the performance of the contract pursuant to art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR). Should this be the case, you must have consented, legal obligation provide for this or the bases of our legitimate interest exist (e.g. when using agents, web hosts, etc.). If we commission third parties with the processing of data on the basis of a so-called "order processing agreement", this is done on the basis of art. 28 GDPR.

What are cookies and what is their purpose?
Cookies are text files that are stored on your internet browser. This has the advantage that you do not have to enter certain data, such as access data, manually again and again. This is done for you by the cookie, which stores this information. You can delete the cookies from your browser at any time if you wish. However, you may then no longer be able to use all functions to their full extent.

This website uses a session cookie to initiate the browser session. Session cookies are small pieces of information that are stored in your computer's memory. A randomly generated, unique identification number is stored in a session cookie, a so-called session ID. In addition, a cookie contains information about its origin and the storage period. These cookies cannot store any other data.  The session cookies we use are deleted as soon as you end the session.

This website also uses third-party cookies. These are set, for example, when you use the web fonts. We use these tools to enhance the user experience of our website and to improve the findability of the site in search engines.

Disable cookies?
If you disable cookies, certain functionality may not be available to you.

If you do not want cookies, you can set your web browser to disable cookies. Please note that most browsers offer different ways to protect your privacy.

SSL encryption
We encrypt your data via SSL. You can recognize this by the green lock in the address line. For this purpose, the server of our website sends an SSL certificate with a public key to your browser. This in turn authenticates the server and website. If the handshake is successful, all data is transmitted encrypted via a specially calculated session key.

Registration on our website
You have the option of registering on our website by entering your personal data. The data you enter will only be collected and stored internally for our own purposes (including order processors).

By registering on our website, your IP address, the date and time of registration will also be stored. This data is stored because it is the only way to prevent misuse of our services and, if necessary, to enable us to investigate crimes that have been committed. In this respect, the storage of this data is necessary for our security. As a matter of principle, this data is not passed on to third parties unless there is a legal obligation to pass it on or the passing on serves the purpose of criminal prosecution.

Your registration under voluntary indication of personal data serves us to offer you contents or services which, due to the nature of the matter, can only be offered to registered users.

Which tools are used?

Use of Google Fonts
External fonts (Google Fonts) are used on these Internet pages. Google Fonts is a service of Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). The integration of these web fonts is done by a server call, usually a Google server in Ireland. This transmits to the server which of our Internet pages you have visited. Google stores your IP address in the process. The legal basis for this processing is your consent in accordance with art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. You can find more information in Google's privacy policy, which you can access here:

https://policies.google.com/privacy

https://fonts.google.com/about

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in Ireland. In the event that IP anonymization is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in Ireland and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (insert link at this point. The current link is: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. In view of the discussion about the use of analysis tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" and therefore IP addresses are only processed in abbreviated form in order to exclude direct personal references.

Use of Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we can manage so-called website tags via an interface and thus integrate, for example, Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offering. The Tag Manager itself, which implements the corresponding tags, does not process any of your personal data. Further information can be found at: marketingplatform.google.com/intl/de/about/analytics/tag-manager/use-policy/.

Use of static links to social media
This website uses static linking to our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube). With this type of linking, no connection is established to the corresponding servers. Your personal data is therefore not forwarded.

Legal basis
When processing your data, we essentially refer to four important articles of the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • art. 6 I lit. a GDPR refers to consents for a specific purpose. For example: the analysis of your user behavior on our website.
  • art. 6 I lit. b GDPR allows us to process personal data for the performance or pre-performance of a contract. For example: you contact us to receive information about our services.
  • art. 6 I lit. c GDPR refers to a legal obligation to process personal data. For example: We are obliged to keep business-relevant transactions for a certain period of time in order to submit them to authorities.
  • art. 6 I lit. f GDPR refers to our or a third party's legitimate interest in processing data. For example: the use of third-party tools to enable better presentation and findability of our website in search engines.

How long will my personal data be stored?
Your data will be stored on our servers only as long as required by law. Once this period has expired, the data is routinely deleted if it is no longer needed. This would only be the case in the fulfillment or preparation of a contract. We do not store personal data for years without any purpose limitation.

What rights do you have?
As a data subject, you have the following rights:

Right to confirmation
If you want to know whether we are processing your data, you can exercise your right to confirmation.

Right to information
You have the right to receive information from us at any time, free of charge, about whether and which of your data we have stored.

Right to restrict the processing of your data
You have the right to demand that we restrict processing. The data will not deleted, but will no longer be available for processing.

Right to transfer your data or to have it transferred
You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, common and machine-readable format. In addition, you have the right to transfer this data to another entity without any hindrance on our part, unless there are compelling reasons not to do so. For this purpose, you may request us to transfer this data directly, provided that no rights and freedoms of other persons are violated in the process and it is technically feasible.

Right of objection
You can object to the use of your data at any time, if the data processing is based on the legal grounds of Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. a (consent) or f (legitimate interest) GDPR.

Right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority

You have the right to complain to a supervisory authority if you believe that we are in breach of the Data Protection Act. Information on the Saxon supervisory authority responsible in this case, as well as the Saxon State Data Protection Commissioner, can be found at www.saechsdsb.de.

And last but not least
We process your data only for the above-mentioned purposes. Should data be processed for purposes other than those mentioned, you will be informed and clarified separately.

We do not use automatic decision-making or profiling.
